Steve will be playing some records concentrating on music from his last years in England and the first few in the US. It will be more of a listening set than full on DJ set, but you never know after a few glasses of wine where it will go.

1988 (and to some extent) 1989 was known in England as the second summer of love, it was a great time where the musical landscape was changing rapidly and house/rave culture found its way into culture (and the charts), but there were also some great indie bands still producing quality stuff.

Resulting in its logical conclusion with the Madchester/baggy scene which combined the two with pretty good results.

It was a time when people came together and the world seemed a better place.

Some tracks downtempo some up, some guitar driven some synth driven but all LOVELY….

Expect The Beloved, Soul ii Soul, Stone Roses, Depeche Mode, Inner City, Happy Mondays, De La Soul, Saint Etienne, Pet Shop Boys, Primal Scream, Neneh Cherry, Future Sound of London, House of Love, New Order, Massive Attack and more…
